TDJ Hlynur Helgason, known as “El Arce,” represents one of Iceland’s most experienced and technically proficient tango DJs. Since 2016, he has performed at approximately 100 milongas, establishing himself as a resident DJ at El Cramo Reykjavík with regular, twice-monthly performances. His style encompasses both traditional and alternative tango, utilising high-quality audio formats, including ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) and FLAC, for optimal sound reproduction. Hlynur’s favoured orchestras include classic masters such as Di Sarli, Pugliese, Demare, Canaro, D’Agostino, Troilo, Maglio, Caló, and D’Arienzo, reflecting deep knowledge of tango’s golden age. His technical setup includes professional equipment with effective equalisation using Waves Solid State Logic G-Channel, demonstrating his commitment to delivering superior audio quality that enhances the dancing experience
